Mokoro Canoe Decorative Historically used as a defensiveA mokoro is a type of canoe commonly used in the Okavango Delta and on the Chobe River in Botswana. It is propelled through the shallow waters of the delta or the river by standing in the stern and pushing with a pole, in the same manner as punting. Used for fishing, reed harvesting, transporting people and goods as well as small livestock it was pretty much the cart of the Delta. These make for excellent planters that can be suspended from a ceiling
